On September 20, the lightweight division in OKTAGON MMA gets a major shakeup as rising Irish talent Denis Frimpong takes on in-form Czech striker Peter Gabal at OKTAGON 76 in Frankfurt.
Frimpong, nicknamed "The Menace," is on fire heading into this matchup. After outclassing prospect Robin Frank at OKTAGON 68, he followed it up with a thunderous third-round TKO of Arijan Topallaj at OKTAGON 71. With a record of 6-2 and riding real momentum, Frimpong will look to inch closer to title contention in one of OKTAGON’s most competitive weight classes.
But Peter Gabal isn’t showing up to play spoiler — he’s chasing gold too. Gabal is riding a three-fight win streak, including a gritty decision over Benny Bajrami at OKTAGON 65 and a knockout of previously unbeaten Elias Jakobi at OKTAGON 71. Now, he meets Frimpong in a pivotal clash that could shape the next title challenger at 155 pounds.
The Festhalle in Frankfurt will also play host to several German fan favorites. Featherweight vet Lom Ali, lightweight brawler Patrick Vespaziani, and rising forces like Tamerlan Dulatov and Fedor Duric are all slated to compete. Longtime staple Alan Omer is also expected to return to action.
In women’s MMA action, undefeated German striker Alina Dalaslan will take on French fighter Clara Ricignuolo in a 60kg catchweight bout, aiming to move her record to 3-0.
Another standout matchup features James Hendin, who will face Belgium’s Ayton De Paepe in a clash between two featherweights looking to break through to OKTAGON’s upper tier.
OKTAGON 76 promises to deliver a night packed with high-stakes battles, breakout potential, and key rankings movement — all under the bright lights of Frankfurt.
