More footage from Dustin Poirier's June arrest at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport has surfaced, and the newest clips contain some of the most talked-about exchanges from an already chaotic incident.

The footage circulating on September 11 is not from a new Dustin Poirier arrest. It comes from the same June 21, 2026 incident in which the retired UFC star was denied boarding on a Delta flight, confronted airport employees and police, and was ultimately taken into custody on a public-drunkenness charge.

Bodycam footage from that arrest had already been made public in June. The newer clips appear to provide additional angles and moments that were not central to the shorter videos that initially went viral.

And one line in particular has immediately taken over the conversation.

One of the additional clips shows Poirier already in custody and continuing a profane exchange with officers. At one point, while apparently responding to being searched, he tells police to “search my d*ck” before challenging them again.

The same clip also includes more profanity and an apparent invitation to settle things one-on-one.

It is the sort of bizarre soundbite that was always going to spread quickly through MMA social media, but the wider context remains important. Poirier had already been involved in a lengthy confrontation by this stage of the arrest, and the bodycam footage shows an obviously heated situation rather than a staged exchange or joke.

Another clip provides more context for the comments about Poirier's supporters.

An officer tells him that people are going to see the footage. After Poirier dismisses that concern, the officer specifically mentions his fans and points out that they spend money to support him.

Poirier's response is blunt.

Taken in isolation, “f*ck the fans” is an ugly line for one of the most popular fighters of his generation. It also came during an incident Poirier later acknowledged was unacceptable behavior rather than a considered statement about the people who supported his career.

That distinction is worth making because Poirier's reaction after the arrest was dramatically different from his behavior in the airport.

The additional footage has attracted attention for more than Poirier's comments.

A separate clip circulating from the incident appears to record one of the officers talking about Poirier before or around the confrontation and saying that being a UFC fighter would not protect him if the situation became physical. The officer also makes a remark about Poirier's cauliflower ear.

The clip adds another uncomfortable dimension to the footage, although it should not be stretched beyond what the video itself establishes. It shows a threatening remark attributed to an officer involved in the response; it does not by itself establish misconduct or change the circumstances of Poirier's arrest.

What happened during Dustin Poirier's airport arrest?

Poirier was arrested on June 21 after police were called to Delta Gate D36 at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport over a dispute involving an allegedly intoxicated passenger who had been denied boarding.

Police identified that passenger as Poirier.

The original bodycam footage showed the former interim UFC lightweight champion yelling profanity toward airline employees and becoming confrontational with the first responding officer. The officer recognized Poirier from his fighting career and requested backup as the exchange escalated.

Poirier challenged the officer to fight and adopted an aggressive posture, prompting the officer to create distance and draw a Taser. Once additional officers arrived, Poirier allowed himself to be handcuffed without a physical struggle.

The ending was strangely calmer than the confrontation that preceded it. While being detained, Poirier complimented the responding officer on how he handled the situation and offered him a fist bump.

He was taken to the Clayton County Jail and released on bond several hours later.

Poirier later said he needed help and addressed his drinking

The tone changed considerably after the footage became public.

Shortly after the arrest, Poirier acknowledged that he was struggling and said he was working on himself. After the initial bodycam video circulated, he went further, saying that walking away from fighting had not been easy and admitting that alcohol was not the answer.

He also connected the issue to his family history, explaining that alcohol had damaged his father's life and that he did not want it to do the same to his own family.

Poirier subsequently apologized for his behavior toward the airport staff and police. He also praised the arresting officer for remaining professional during an encounter that could easily have escalated further.

Those comments matter when interpreting the new footage. Poirier has not defended the airport behavior as acceptable or tried to present the confrontation as something he was proud of.

The arrest came less than a year after Dustin Poirier retired from MMA

The incident also happened during a major adjustment period in Poirier's life.
