DWCS 2026 Week 5 Results: Quentin Pasley, Martin Kozák Lead Four UFC Contract Winners

DWCS 2026 Week 5 Results: Quentin Pasley, Martin Kozák Lead Four UFC Contract Winners

Dana White's Contender Series 2026 Week 5 sent four more prospects to the UFC, but for once in Season 10, winning wasn't automatically enough.

Quentin Pasley, Isaac Moreno, Martin Kozák and Christian Natividad all left the Meta APEX with UFC contracts on September 8. Apollo Gomes also won his fight, but became the lone victorious fighter from Week 5 who did not receive a deal.

That pushed the Season 10 contract total to 24 through the first five weeks of Dana White's Contender Series.

The night had a little bit of everything: a savage main-event elbow knockout, a clean liver-shot finish, an unbeaten Slovakian extending his perfect record, an illegal groin strike that immediately became one of the night's viral clips and a pair of competitive decisions.

Quentin Pasley knocks out Arlind Berisha with brutal elbows

The main event began as a meeting between two undefeated light heavyweights. It ended with Quentin Pasley maintaining the defining statistic of his young professional career: nobody has made it out of the first round with him.

Arlind Berisha entered at 5-0 and brought genuine finishing danger of his own, but Pasley gradually found opportunities as the opening round developed. With less than 30 seconds remaining, he suddenly closed the distance and unleashed a sequence of elbows that put Berisha down.

The finish came at 4:41 of Round 1 in Quentin Pasley vs. Arlind Berisha.

Pasley improved to 4-0 with four first-round finishes. Given how little professional cage time he has accumulated, he is still very much a developing prospect, but the combination of athleticism, size and finishing instincts was more than enough for Dana White to offer him a UFC contract.

Isaac Moreno stays unbeaten against Reginaldo Junior

Isaac Moreno didn't produce a finish, but his unanimous decision over Reginaldo Junior was the kind of three-round performance that demonstrated more than another quick knockout might have.

Moreno used his southpaw stance, speed and kicking game to establish range early. Junior responded by changing the nature of the fight, looking for body locks and takedowns rather than continuing to chase Moreno at distance.

Junior also supplied one of the biggest moments of danger late in the opening round when a right hand dropped Moreno. Moreno recovered, returned to working at range and continued scoring through the second round.

A big slam from Junior gave the Brazilian another opportunity, but Moreno threatened with a guillotine and survived the grappling exchanges without allowing Junior to take sustained control.

The third round remained competitive, but Moreno had done enough. All three judges scored Isaac Moreno vs. Reginaldo Junior 29-28.

Moreno improved to 9-0, and Dana White rewarded the decision victory with a UFC contract.

Martin Kozák stops Christian Echols after bizarre low-blow sequence

Martin Kozák entered Week 5 unbeaten and left at 7-0 after stopping Christian Echols in the second round.

Echols, who had already made headlines by weighing 189 pounds for the middleweight bout, initially tried to remove Kozák's reach advantage by closing distance. It worked only temporarily.

As the first round progressed, the six-foot-four Kozák began landing increasingly clean combinations to the head and body. A head kick dropped Echols, but he managed to recover and regain his feet.

Then came one of the stranger sequences of the entire season.

With Echols backed toward the fence, Kozák threw a combination that included a clear uppercut directly into the groin. Referee Mike Beltran immediately stopped the action and gave Echols time to recover.

Slow-motion footage made the accidental foul look even more painful.

The foul didn't end up changing the direction of the fight. Kozák resumed his attack in Round 2, repeatedly working Echols' body before trapping him against the fence and unloading punches.

Echols eventually went down under the pressure and the unanswered follow-up shots forced Beltran to stop Martin Kozák vs. Christian Echols at 1:32 of the second round.

Kozák has now finished all seven of his professional victories and became one of the easiest contract decisions of Week 5.

Apollo Gomes rallies to beat Kwon Won Il but does not earn a contract

Apollo Gomes had to survive real trouble against Kwon Won Il.

Gomes immediately pursued the grappling exchanges, but once the fight returned to the feet, Kwon's accuracy became a problem. The former ONE Championship title challenger dropped Gomes twice in quick succession during the first round.

Gomes recovered and began finding more success as the fight progressed, including taking Kwon's back and threatening with a rear-naked choke.

By the third round, the momentum had shifted. Gomes landed a sharp counter right hook that briefly buckled Kwon and maintained the higher pace during the closing stretch.

All three judges scored Apollo Gomes vs. Kwon Won Il 29-28 for Gomes.

It was a good comeback and a legitimate win, but not enough to secure a UFC deal. When Dana White announced the contracts at the end of the night, Gomes was the only winner left out.

Christian Natividad folds Colton Loud with a body shot

Christian Natividad didn't leave Dana White much to deliberate over.

The undefeated flyweight entered against Colton Loud, a dangerous finisher with a noticeable height and reach advantage. Loud landed a kick to the body early, but Natividad answered with something much more damaging.

A perfectly placed left hook to the liver immediately folded Loud. Natividad followed with punches before referee Mike Beltran intervened at just 1:10 of the opening round.

Christian Natividad vs. Colton Loud was the fastest finish of Week 5 and pushed Natividad's professional record to 10-0.

The body-shot knockout also gave Season 10 another unbeaten prospect heading directly to the UFC roster.
