DWCS 2026 Week 7 Results: Six UFC Contracts, Guaylupo vs Connor War and MMAtown Picks Go 2-for-2

Dana White's Contender Series 2026 Week 7 somehow produced six new UFC fighters from a five-fight card.

Piero Guaylupo and Callum Connor beat each other up for 15 minutes and both got contracts. Alvi Dasuyev and Jaden Ortega did much the same thing and both got contracts. Marcos Degli produced the night's slickest submission. Damian Piwowarczyk found a first-round finish after spending much of the round under pressure.

Then Norbert Novenyi Jr. won the main event and became the only winner who wasn't signed.

It was that kind of night at the Meta APEX.

There was also a nice result for MMAtown before we even got to the contracts. In our DWCS Week 7 preview and predictions, our two betting selections were Piero Guaylupo near even money and Damian Piwowarczyk as the smaller secondary play. Both won, giving us a clean 2-for-2 night.

More importantly, Week 7 pushed the Season 10 contract total to 34 with three episodes still remaining.

Piero Guaylupo beats Callum Connor in a ridiculous three-round war

If one fight explains why Dana White ended the night giving contracts to fighters who technically lost, it was Piero Guaylupo vs. Callum Connor.

Guaylupo did exactly what made him our preferred Week 7 betting play. He pressured forward, committed to heavy hooks upstairs and to the body, and refused to let Connor's height or varied striking force him into a passive fight.

Connor responded with just about everything available to him: straight punches, knees, elbows, kicks and spinning attacks. Guaylupo still produced the biggest moment of the opening round, dropping Connor late and coming close to ending the fight.

Connor survived, and what followed was ten more minutes of violence.

The pace barely dropped in the third. Connor continued throwing in volume despite the damage he had absorbed, while Guaylupo kept answering with the harder-looking shots and remained willing to exchange until the final horn.

Public strike totals reported after the fight have varied, so the exact number in that social-media caption should be treated cautiously. What doesn't need interpretation is the volume: this was an exceptionally high-output three-round fight.

All three judges scored it 30-27 for Guaylupo, who remained unbeaten and earned his UFC contract.

Connor suffered the first professional loss of his career, but White was sufficiently impressed by his toughness and contribution to the fight that he signed him too. Both men reportedly went for hospital checks rather than remaining at the APEX for the contract announcements.

Damian Piwowarczyk gets the late Round 1 TKO and cashes our second pick

Our other selection had to work through a much less comfortable opening five minutes.

Emilio Quissua came forward aggressively against Damian Piwowarczyk, forcing the taller Pole backward and landing enough clean offense to make the undefeated German look like a serious threat.

Quissua even connected with a hard head kick late in the round.

But Piwowarczyk's experience in deeper professional competition was one of the reasons we preferred him before the event, and with the first round almost over he suddenly changed the fight.

A right hand hurt Quissua, Piwowarczyk followed with punches, and the stoppage came at 4:55 of Round 1 in Damian Piwowarczyk vs. Emilio Quissua.

Piwowarczyk improved his winning streak to four, handed Quissua his first professional defeat and earned an immediate UFC contract.

It also completed a 2-for-2 night for the actual bets we singled out in the MMAtown preview: Guaylupo on the moneyline and Piwowarczyk as the smaller secondary selection.

Marcos Degli submits Paris Moran with a standing one-arm choke

Marcos Degli entered Week 7 with a 12-fight winning streak and plenty of attention around his finishing ability. He left with another finish and a UFC contract.

Paris Moran made him work for it early. Degli found advantageous grappling positions in the first round but couldn't simply run through the experienced Fury FC champion.

In Round 2, Degli again worked to Moran's back. The finish looked unusual because Moran appeared to have the conventional two-handed rear-naked choke defense covered.

Degli didn't need the second hand.

He drove one arm deep underneath the chin from a standing position and generated enough pressure to force the tap at 4:46 of Round 2 in Marcos Degli vs. Paris Moran.

The victory extended Degli's streak to 13 straight and left very little debate around his contract. He was one of only two fighters on the entire card to win inside the distance.

Alvi Dasuyev beats Jaden Ortega, but both get UFC contracts

The co-main event provided the second example of why the result alone doesn't always determine who leaves DWCS with a UFC deal.

Alvi Dasuyev looked close to producing another early finish when he dropped Jaden Ortega in the first round.

Dasuyev spent much of the opening round pouring offense into Ortega, but the finish never arrived. By Round 2, that effort began showing in his gas tank.

Ortega survived, recovered and started turning the fight into something much more competitive as Dasuyev visibly slowed.

The exhaustion also produced one of the night's stranger moments, with Dasuyev essentially launching himself onto Ortega on the ground.

Dasuyev still found enough in the third round to close out Alvi Dasuyev vs. Jaden Ortega. The judges scored it 30-27, 30-27 and 29-28, improving Dasuyev to 10-0.

Dana White signed him, as expected.

Then he signed Ortega too.

Ortega officially left Las Vegas with the first loss of his professional career, but his durability, willingness to fight back after being dropped and ability to push an exhausted Dasuyev impressed the UFC enough to outweigh the scorecards.

Norbert Novenyi Jr. wins the main event but gets no UFC contract

The night's strangest contract outcome belonged to the actual main-event winner.

Norbert Novenyi Jr. was the biggest favorite on the card against Theo Haig and nearly produced a spectacular start when he hurt Haig almost immediately.

Haig recovered and quickly changed the fight through his grappling, taking Novenyi's back and controlling substantial portions of the opening round.

From there, Norbert Novenyi Jr. vs. Theo Haig became much more cautious.

Novenyi had success with power punches and his own grappling in the later rounds, but both men slowed considerably. The explosive main event expected from two talented middleweights gradually became a fight built around clinches, control and fatigue.

Novenyi won 29-28 on all three scorecards and moved to 11-1.

He did not get a UFC contract.

White told him that the promotion would be open to seeing him again, but that his Week 7 performance wasn't enough to earn a roster spot immediately.

That created the defining contrast of the episode: Connor and Ortega lost and became UFC fighters, while Novenyi won the headline bout and went home without a contract.
