Jungle Fight Unveils Record-Breaking Grand Prix Tournaments for 2025

The Global Fight League (GFL) didn’t just launch — it came out swinging. Despite some early hiccups, the debut event on May 25 delivered a full night of finishes, rising talent, and a reminder that GFL isn’t here to play it safe.

Held in Las Vegas, the card featured 12 bouts and 10 stoppages — including six knockouts. Heavyweight standout Marcus Lewis scored a brutal first-round KO that turned heads fast, while featherweight prospect Jayden Cole kept his undefeated record intact with a slick rear-naked choke.

Beyond the fights, GFL made a statement with production: dramatic walkouts, cage-side interviews, and even a $100K “Performance of the Night” bonus that went to lightweight brawler Devin Cruz after a wild comeback finish in round three.

Originally, GFL’s opening weekend was supposed to include a high-profile bout between Tony Ferguson and Dillon Danis, but that fell apart when the May 24 card was scrapped last-minute. Ferguson, of course, didn’t stay quiet — teasing future plans on social media and keeping fans guessing.

Still, the May 25 show gave GFL a solid launchpad. The next event is already set for July 20 in Houston, and word is they’re lining up some big names. Whether they can keep the momentum going remains to be seen — but for a brand-new promotion, this was one hell of a first impression.
