OKTAGON MMA returns to Munich on Halloween night with a vacant welterweight championship on the line and two fighters who have rarely needed the judges to decide their fights.
Amiran Gogoladze, the division's No. 1 contender, faces undefeated German submission specialist Felix Klinkhammer in the main event of OKTAGON 96 on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at SAP Garden.
Gogoladze has finished eight opponents in under 100 seconds and recently knocked out former champion Ion Surdu. Klinkhammer arrives with an 11-0 record, eight submission victories and an ARES FC welterweight championship to his name. Both are unbeaten inside the OKTAGON cage, but only one can leave Munich with the belt.
The rest of the 12-fight card is unusually strong for a non-stadium event. Gökhan Aksu and Niko Samsonidse meet in a lightweight clash between ranked contenders, former champion Ronald Paradeiser faces rising German finisher Tyrone Pfeifer, and heavyweight contender Lazar Todev takes on Simon Biyong.
Five welterweight bouts are scheduled across the evening, making this more than a single championship attraction. Several fighters competing below Gogoladze and Klinkhammer could move significantly closer to a future title opportunity.
Amiran Gogoladze vs. Felix Klinkhammer: Vacant OKTAGON welterweight championship
Amiran Gogoladze vs. Felix Klinkhammer is a particularly interesting title matchup because the two men have taken almost opposite routes toward the same championship.
Gogoladze, 28, enters at 18-3. The Georgian has developed into one of Europe's most dangerous welterweight finishers, combining explosive boxing with strong takedown defense.
His punching power has been evident for years. During his time in M-1, he knocked out Juho Valamaa in just 10 seconds, recording the fastest knockout in that promotion's history.
His progress toward an OKTAGON title, however, has been interrupted repeatedly.
Gogoladze joined the organization in May 2023 and defeated Liam Etebar, followed by decision victories over Łukasz Siwiec and former UFC fighter Leandro Silva. A planned championship opportunity against Kaik Brito subsequently fell apart because of injury, contributing to a prolonged absence from competition.
When Gogoladze finally returned at OKTAGON 86 in April 2026, he had been inactive for nearly two years. His opponent was former welterweight champion Ion Surdu, one of the division's most feared knockout artists.
The Georgian answered any doubts about his form by stopping Surdu in the opening round with a devastating right hook.
That victory immediately restored Gogoladze to the championship picture, setting up the opportunity he had been pursuing for years.
I will work, I will believe and I will earn what should have been mine long ago - OKTAGON MMA Welterweight Title. 👑

Standing opposite him is a fighter whose professional record remains perfect.
Felix Klinkhammer, 31, has won all 11 of his MMA fights and has not lost since his amateur debut in December 2015. Nine of his professional victories have come inside the distance, all in the opening round.
The German trains at London Shootfighters, where he has spent more than a decade developing his grappling. His résumé includes submissions by rear-naked choke, arm-triangle choke, heel hook and kneebar.
After competing in OKTAGON in 2021, Klinkhammer moved to France's ARES FC, where he won four consecutive fights and captured the welterweight title by defeating previously unbeaten Jefferson Gonçalves in September 2024.
He returned to OKTAGON at the same Munich venue in November 2025, submitting experienced Hungarian Máté Kertész with a kneebar late in Round 1.
That result improved Klinkhammer to 11-0 and established him as a serious contender for the vacant championship.
There is an interesting personal dimension to his return. While training in London, Klinkhammer spent years living in a camper van outside his gym to support his MMA career. He now has the opportunity to become the first German fighter to hold OKTAGON's welterweight championship, in front of a home crowd.
Gogoladze vs. Klinkhammer prediction and betting odds
Despite their impressive finishing records, this is not simply a matchup between two fighters who throw caution aside looking for quick knockouts.
The tactical battle revolves around where the fight takes place.
Gogoladze is the more dangerous striker, particularly when opponents enter his punching range without setting up their attacks. His timing and power were decisive against Surdu, and he has demonstrated excellent defensive wrestling in OKTAGON.
According to the promotion's available statistics, the Georgian has defended 18 of 21 takedown attempts during his OKTAGON appearances.
Klinkhammer's strengths are almost the exact opposite. He wants prolonged grappling exchanges, where he can advance positions, threaten the back and attack submissions. His takedown success in the promotion has been outstanding, although he has considerably fewer OKTAGON appearances than Gogoladze.
That creates an intriguing question for the German: can he establish control against a fighter who has consistently prevented opponents from keeping him on the canvas?
If the fight remains standing for extended periods, Gogoladze's speed and counterpunching could produce another early finish. If Klinkhammer gets past the initial striking exchanges and starts chaining takedowns, the champion will need to demonstrate defensive grappling against one of the most accomplished submission specialists he has faced.
The championship is scheduled for five rounds, adding another variable for two fighters accustomed to relatively quick victories.
Available October 26 betting markets favor Gogoladze, generally pricing him between approximately -165 and -195, with Klinkhammer around +135 to +150. These are limited market snapshots rather than a guaranteed consensus, and prices may change during fight week.
MMAtown prediction: Amiran Gogoladze. His striking, defensive wrestling and experience against established OKTAGON opposition make him our narrow favorite. However, Klinkhammer's submission threat is substantial enough that we would not treat Gogoladze as a particularly safe moneyline bet at the shorter available prices.
Gökhan Aksu vs. Niko Samsonidse: Lightweight contenders seek redemption
The likely co-main event, Gökhan Aksu vs. Niko Samsonidse, features two German-based fighters trying to return to championship contention after painful setbacks earlier this year.
Aksu enters with a 14-7-1 record and one of the most unusual finishing statistics in the lightweight division: all 14 of his professional victories have ended before the final bell.
The 31-year-old trains in Rosenheim, near Munich, and has made a habit of delivering finishes in front of Bavarian audiences.
He knocked out Denis Frimpong at OKTAGON 80 last November, adding another impressive result to a run that earned him a lightweight championship opportunity against Mateusz Legierski.
That opportunity ended badly. Legierski stopped Aksu in the first round at OKTAGON 90 in Berlin on June 20, leaving him with another difficult climb toward a title shot.
Interestingly, Samsonidse fought on the same card and defeated the same opponent who had helped establish Aksu's credentials.
Samsonidse knocked out Denis Frimpong in just 53 seconds, giving the former featherweight title challenger an immediate statement victory in the lightweight division.
The 31-year-old is 13-4 and has a strong Brazilian jiu-jitsu background, with seven submission victories. However, his recent knockout of Frimpong showed that his striking has become increasingly dangerous.
Samsonidse previously challenged Losene Keita and Mago Machaev for featherweight gold, losing both opportunities by stoppage. Moving to lightweight offers a fresh route toward championship contention without another demanding featherweight weight cut.
Both fighters are ranked inside OKTAGON's lightweight top four, making the result directly relevant to champion Mateusz Legierski's list of possible challengers.
Stylistically, Aksu's power and aggressive boxing make him dangerous early, but Samsonidse's grappling could become decisive if the fight moves into prolonged clinch or ground exchanges.
Ronald Paradeiser vs. Tyrone Pfeifer: Former champion faces a rising finisher
Few fighters on the OKTAGON 96 card have more experience against elite regional opposition than Ronald Paradeiser.
The Slovakian is a former OKTAGON lightweight champion who moved up to welterweight and challenged for another title. At 29, he already has 34 professional fights and has shared the cage with some of the promotion's most recognizable names.
Paradeiser enters at 23-11, but his recent results have been difficult. Kaik Brito stopped him with a spinning backfist in February, and Jack Grant submitted him with a twister at OKTAGON 89 in June.
Those defeats make Paradeiser vs. Tyrone Pfeifer especially important. A third consecutive loss would leave the former champion in an uncomfortable position within an increasingly competitive welterweight division.
Pfeifer, meanwhile, has considerably less professional experience but arrives with impressive momentum.
The German is 8-1 and has won both of his OKTAGON appearances by stoppage. He finished Marek Bartl in March before stopping former UFC fighter Niklas Stolze in just 22 seconds at OKTAGON 90 in June.
The organization has been promoting his explosive style, including footage of a Superman punch from his recent performances.

Tyrone Pfeifer 🇩🇪 has had two bouts in OKTAGON and delivered two explosive finishes.
Can the rising star do the same to Paradeiser next Saturday at #OKTAGON96 in Munich? pic.twitter.com/sFNt29AuN1
Paradeiser is currently ranked No. 4 at welterweight, while Pfeifer sits at No. 8.
The German has the momentum, but Paradeiser has fought more accomplished opponents and has already experienced the pressure of championship bouts.
Pfeifer needs to show he can maintain his effectiveness against an opponent who survives his initial attacks. Paradeiser, on the other hand, must prove that the difficult stretch against Brito and Grant hasn't permanently damaged his standing among the division's leading fighters.
This is arguably one of the most interesting matchmaking decisions on the card, with considerably more at stake than either man's immediate ranking.
Lazar Todev vs. Simon Biyong: Heavyweights fight for position behind Will Fleury
Bulgaria's Lazar Todev is approaching another heavyweight title opportunity after rebuilding his momentum with three consecutive victories.
The 38-year-old enters Todev vs. Biyong with a 14-7 record and the No. 1 ranking in OKTAGON's heavyweight division.
His most recent victory came against former UFC heavyweight Martin Buday at OKTAGON 89 in Bratislava, where Todev secured a decision win against the experienced Slovakian.
That performance strengthened his argument for another opportunity against reigning champion Will Fleury, but Todev must first deal with Simon Biyong.
The Italian-based heavyweight has competed in Bellator, PFL and Rizin, and previously held championships in smaller organizations. At approximately 196 centimeters tall, he presents a physically imposing challenge.
Biyong has recorded nine knockout victories and prefers to use his striking power rather than rely on prolonged positional grappling.
Todev's recent form makes him a reasonable favorite on experience and opposition quality, but heavyweight MMA offers little room for mistakes. A single clean exchange could change the title picture considerably.
Jessin Ayari vs. Ion Surdu: Former champion tries to recover from Gogoladze knockout
While Gogoladze fights for the vacant championship in the main event, the man he defeated earlier this year will also be competing in Munich.
Former OKTAGON welterweight champion Ion "Dracula" Surdu faces German UFC veteran Jessin Ayari in a fight between two ranked contenders.
Surdu, 17-8, remains one of the division's most dangerous strikers. His previous victories include significant finishes against David Kozma, Kaik Brito and Andrej Kalašník.
But Gogoladze's first-round knockout in April demonstrated that Surdu's aggressive approach can leave him vulnerable against accurate counterpunchers.
Ayari, 19-6, has experience competing in the UFC and brings a more measured approach to striking and grappling exchanges.
Currently ranked No. 7, Ayari has the opportunity to move past the division's No. 3 contender in Ayari vs. Surdu.
The contrast is straightforward: Surdu wants to impose his power and make the fight uncomfortable immediately, while Ayari's best chance may come from disrupting that rhythm and forcing the former champion into a more tactical contest.
Marek Bartl vs. Brian Manning: Veteran meets Irish finishing prospect
Marek Bartl is back in OKTAGON after years of competing primarily in Germany, and his return comes against an opponent who has made a name for himself with aggressive performances.
The Czech veteran carries a 17-16 professional record and is known for his willingness to engage in demanding, physical fights.
His opponent, Brian Manning, is 6-1 and has finished all six of his professional victories.
Manning's reputation as a dangerous Irish puncher makes this a difficult assignment for Bartl, who was stopped by Tyrone Pfeifer earlier in 2026.
However, Bartl's extensive experience could make him more difficult to finish than Manning's previous opponents.

Bartl vs. Manning is scheduled at middleweight. Manning has the stronger recent finishing record, while Bartl has faced a much larger variety of professional opponents.
Henrique Madureira vs. Daniel Schordje: A dangerous featherweight matchup
Brazilian finisher Henrique Madureira returns to OKTAGON looking for a fourth consecutive victory.
Known as "Mad Max," Madureira is 10-7 and has earned five knockout victories and three submissions during his career.
His opponent, Austrian prospect Daniel "Bad Moon" Schordje, carries a 10-1-1 professional record and represents ETTL Bros MMA.
The difference in records favors Schordje, but Madureira has considerably more experience recovering from difficult situations and has already completed several appearances under the OKTAGON banner.

The featherweight contest could become especially interesting if Madureira vs. Schordje reaches the ground. Both fighters have demonstrated submission ability, although Madureira has also produced several stoppages with his striking.
Schordje has a chance to establish himself against a recognizable Brazilian opponent, while another victory for Madureira would move him closer to the division's more established names.
OKTAGON 96 preliminary fights and prospects to watch
The remaining matchups include experienced regional fighters, several local attractions and a pair of promising young lightweights.
Marat Nessar vs. Abdulmalik Aliev
German prospect Marat Nessar makes his OKTAGON debut against undefeated Austrian Abdulmalik Aliev in a lightweight fight between two athletes who are just beginning their professional careers.
Both enter at 1-0, although their amateur backgrounds provide considerably more experience than those records suggest.
Nessar represents Regensburg and has developed a substantial social media following. Aliev, 21, trains at MT Gym 23 in Vienna and won his professional debut with a first-round rear-naked choke.
The matchup could provide an early indication of whether Nessar's aggressive style translates against an opponent with strong wrestling and submission skills.
Michael Deiga-Scheck vs. Lukáš Chotěnovský
German featherweight Michael Deiga-Scheck returns against Czech opponent Lukáš Chotěnovský.
Deiga-Scheck, 11-8, announced his retirement after losing to Teo Smith at OKTAGON 80 in November 2025, but he is now scheduled to compete again at the same Munich arena.
Chotěnovský enters at 8-3 and has an opportunity to defeat an experienced local fighter in front of a German audience.
Kevin Hangs vs. Burak Kizilirmak
German welterweight Kevin Hangs is scheduled to face Burak Kizilirmak in another bout contributing to the card's unusually deep 170-pound lineup.
Hangs brings a 15-9 professional record, while Kizilirmak is listed at 12-3. The matchup gives both fighters an opportunity to strengthen their position in a division already featuring several ranked contenders on the same event.
Endrit Brajshori vs. Christian Mach
Endrit Brajshori, 6-2, meets experienced German welterweight Christian Mach, 10-5.
The fight pairs an emerging prospect with an opponent who has competed against established regional talent. Mach previously faced Gökhan Aksu under the BRAVE CF banner, showing that he is no stranger to experienced European opposition.
Shawn Marcos da Silva vs. Fayaz Haqparast
The flyweight contest features Shawn Marcos da Silva against undefeated Fayaz Haqparast.
Da Silva brings a 7-2 professional record, while Haqparast is listed at 3-0. With both fighters still relatively early in their professional development, the bout offers an opportunity to establish momentum within OKTAGON's lighter divisions.
OKTAGON 96 betting odds and predictions
Among the available early betting markets, the welterweight championship is the clearest matchup with published prices that can be compared reliably.
| Fight | Available odds | MMAtown assessment |
|---|---|---|
| Amiran Gogoladze vs. Felix Klinkhammer | Gogoladze approximately -165 to -195; Klinkhammer +135 to +150 | Lean Gogoladze; no strong moneyline value |
These prices are indicative October 26 figures rather than a settled market. Limited sportsbook coverage and differences between operators make it difficult to establish a precise consensus.
Gogoladze's takedown defense and knockout ability give him the clearest path to victory, but Klinkhammer's undefeated record and submission skills make this a dangerous fight for the favorite.
Elsewhere on the card, Aksu vs. Samsonidse and Paradeiser vs. Pfeifer are particularly interesting stylistic matchups. However, without sufficiently reliable and comparable sportsbook prices for those fights, there is little value in manufacturing betting recommendations.
For now, MMAtown's main-event prediction is Gogoladze, but the stronger recommendation is to avoid forcing a bet at an unfavorable price.
