ONE Fight Night 47 Preview and Full Fight Card: Stamp Fairtex vs Selina Flores

ONE Championship returns to U.S. primetime on Friday, September 4 with one of its most varied cards of the year. ONE Fight Night 47: Stamp vs. Flores takes place at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, with nine fights spread across Muay Thai, MMA and submission grappling.

The main event brings Stamp Fairtex back in front of a home crowd against American striker Selina Flores. Underneath them, Jaosuayai Mor Krungthepthonburi meets Jordan Estupinan in flyweight Muay Thai, unbeaten Indian prospect Nazareth Lalthazuala gets his first main-roster assignment, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu great Rafael Lovato Jr. faces a much younger grappling threat in Pawel Jaworski.

For viewers in the United States and Canada, ONE Fight Night 47 is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT on Prime Video. In Thailand, the card begins Saturday morning local time.

Stamp Fairtex vs Selina Flores headlines ONE Fight Night 47

Stamp's career has already taken turns that would sound unrealistic for almost anyone else. She became the first fighter in ONE history to hold world titles across MMA, Muay Thai and kickboxing, then saw her momentum interrupted by a torn meniscus that kept her sidelined for around a year and a half.

Her return has been a process rather than an instant restoration of the fighter who once ruled multiple divisions. Stamp most recently edged Cynthia Flores by split decision after a difficult opening round, getting another fight under her belt but leaving room for questions about how close she is to her best.

That makes Selina Flores a particularly interesting opponent. Flores is a multiple-time WBC Muay Thai World Champion who won her ONE debut against Marie McManamon and arrives on a five-fight winning streak. Beating Stamp in Bangkok would immediately give the American one of the biggest victories available in the atomweight Muay Thai division.

Stamp, meanwhile, has repeatedly made clear that she expects more from herself after the injury layoff. This isn't a ceremonial homecoming fight. It's another test of whether the former three-sport champion can build toward the level she occupied before the knee injury.

Stamp's résumé also includes the atomweight Muay Thai championship, and ONE has been revisiting that chapter ahead of Friday's return. Her previous title fight with Janet Todd offers a useful reminder that the Thai star's striking career is much more than a side project to her MMA accomplishments.

Jaosuayai vs Jordan Estupinan carries real pressure

The co-main event is another Muay Thai fight involving two athletes badly in need of momentum.

Jaosuayai Mor Krungthepthonburi has already shown what his best nights look like in ONE, most memorably with a 52-second head-kick knockout of Nakrob Fairtex. Recent results have been more difficult, however, and ONE Fight Night 47 gives him the opportunity to reset that trajectory in Bangkok.

Jordan Estupinan is dealing with his own challenging stretch after emerging as one of the promotion's exciting young flyweights. Their styles should make for a high-tempo fight, but the more interesting layer is that neither man is entering with the comfort of simply adding another appearance to a winning run.

Nazareth Lalthazuala gets his biggest ONE Championship test

One of the most interesting MMA fights on the card is Gilbert Nakatani vs. Nazareth Lalthazuala at strawweight.

Nazareth Lalthazuala has rapidly become one of India's more intriguing MMA prospects. He enters at 8-0 after winning all three of his previous ONE appearances, including a 17-second knockout, a submission and a first-round TKO that earned him a $100,000 main-roster contract.

The step up now is significant. Gilbert Nakatani brings more experience and is moving to strawweight for this fight, while Lalthazuala goes from building his reputation on ONE Friday Fights to competing on a U.S. primetime card.

A fourth consecutive finish would make Lalthazuala difficult to ignore in ONE's strawweight MMA picture.

Fábio Henrique and Ryohei Kurosawa meet in strawweight MMA

Fábio Henrique enters Henrique vs. Kurosawa with momentum after stopping former ONE Strawweight MMA World Champion Yosuke Saruta in the second round earlier this year.

Across from him is Ryohei Kurosawa, the former Pancrase Strawweight Champion. Kurosawa won his ONE debut but has since dropped consecutive fights, making this an important attempt to stop that slide against a Brazilian coming off one of the best victories of his career.

With both this fight and Nakatani vs. Lalthazuala on the same card, ONE Fight Night 47 has genuine relevance to the future of the strawweight MMA division beyond its main event.

Gabriela Fujimoto vs Macarena Aragon is a battle for momentum

The women's atomweight MMA matchup between Gabriela Fujimoto and Macarena Aragon is another fight in which both athletes have something to repair.

Fujimoto entered ONE undefeated before Jihin Radzuan handed her the first professional loss of her career. Aragon has endured her own difficult stretch in the promotion, although she owns a victory over Radzuan, giving Fujimoto vs. Aragon an interesting shared-opponent wrinkle.

Fujimoto remains only 23 and has spoken about wanting to establish herself in a division with an open championship picture. First, she needs her first ONE victory.

Pedro Dantas faces dangerous newcomer Hector Almonacid

Pedro Dantas also arrives needing a turnaround. The Brazilian opened his professional MMA career unbeaten before suffering his first loss and then dropping a kickboxing bout during his ONE run.

He now meets Hector Almonacid, an Argentine newcomer whose submission-heavy record makes Dantas vs. Almonacid an interesting clash of offensive strengths.

Dantas began his combat sports career in kickboxing and has shown finishing ability in MMA, but Friday is less about potential than getting back into the win column.

Rafael Lovato Jr. vs Pawel Jaworski adds elite submission grappling

ONE's mixed-discipline format also produces one of the card's biggest generational contrasts.

Rafael Lovato Jr., 43, meets 22-year-old Pawel Jaworski in middleweight submission grappling. Lovato remains one of the most accomplished American Brazilian jiu-jitsu competitors of his generation and recently defeated two-time ADCC champion Giancarlo Bodoni in ONE.

Jaworski represents the opposite end of the timeline. The Polish no-gi standout has already challenged Tye Ruotolo in ONE and now gets another elite-level test against a grappler whose résumé stretches across multiple eras of competitive BJJ.

For viewers who mainly arrive for Stamp or the MMA fights, Lovato vs. Jaworski is the kind of matchup that demonstrates why ONE Fight Night cards feel different from conventional MMA events.

Two more Muay Thai fights complete the card

Mohamed Younes Rabah faces Ricardo Bravo at featherweight. Rabah's length, knees and previous wins over Eddie Abasolo and Saemapetch Fairtex make him a difficult matchup, while Bravo has built his ONE success around finishing power and is trying to snap a losing run.

The opening strawweight Muay Thai bout has also changed from the initially announced lineup. Ellis Badr Barboza withdrew because of injury, leaving Ngoc Phu Nguyen to step in against Elmehdi El Jamari.

Nguyen makes his promotional debut with an unbeaten 12-0 record, while El Jamari is trying to recapture the form that produced a first-round knockout of Thongpoon PK Saenchai in his ONE debut.
