Tony Ferguson Says He’s “Ready” After KSI Fight Offer, Eyes TUF Coaching Gig vs Khabib

Tony Ferguson is never far from the spotlight, and once again he's stirred up the MMA world by confirming that he was offered a boxing match against none other than KSI. The former UFC interim lightweight champion shared the news during an interview at The Ultimate Fighter Season 33 premiere in Las Vegas.

Following the cancellation of his bout with Dillon Danis under the Global Fight League banner, Ferguson spoke candidly about his next steps. “I’ve been offered—actually, probably three [fights],” he said. “I was supposed to grapple Arman Tsarukyan at Karate Combat, but it fell through. Then came the offer from KSI. Right now, I’m staying ready.”

Ferguson mentioned that his father advised him to stay near his fighting weight to be prepared for opportunities, saying, “I’ve been keeping around 175, staying diligent. It’s not hard. I’ve leaned out and feel great.”

But perhaps the most intriguing nugget came when “El Cucuy” hinted at coaching aspirations. Ferguson, who rose to prominence as a winner of TUF Season 13, revealed that he’d love to coach on The Ultimate Fighter — opposite longtime rival Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Despite never stepping into the Octagon together due to a series of ill-timed cancellations, Ferguson and Khabib remain one of MMA’s greatest “what if” stories. A TUF coaching season featuring both icons would be a ratings juggernaut — though nothing is confirmed as of now.

Whether it’s influencer boxing, high-level grappling, or reality TV, Ferguson’s next chapter promises to be as unpredictable as his fight style. And fans wouldn’t have it any other way.
