UFC Paris 2026 Preview & Full Fight Card: Losene Keita, Hooker vs Parnasse and MMAtown Picks

UFC Paris has developed its own identity remarkably quickly. Put a French-heavy card inside Accor Arena and the crowd tends to do the rest. On September 5, the promotion returns to Paris for the fifth consecutive year, this time with one of the more unusual Fight Night main events of 2026.

Dan Hooker isn't fighting another established UFC contender. Instead, the No. 10-ranked lightweight welcomes Salahdine Parnasse, arguably one of the most accomplished fighters to enter the UFC from the European scene in years. Parnasse will make his Octagon debut directly in a five-round main event in his home country.

There is plenty underneath it, too. Former European champion Losene Keita gets another high-profile opportunity, Michael Page meets an enormous and dangerous Nursulton Ruziboev, Fares Ziam faces Axel Sola in an all-French lightweight matchup, and Morgan Charriere draws Felipe Lima.

MMAtown also has two betting leans for the card. We like Page as the safer selection and Sola as the more interesting value play at his opening underdog price. More on both below.

Dan Hooker vs Salahdine Parnasse headlines UFC Paris

The UFC isn't easing Parnasse into anything.

The 28-year-old Frenchman spent most of the previous decade developing into the biggest homegrown star in KSW. He captured championships at featherweight and lightweight, eventually unified both belts, and left the Polish promotion earlier in 2026 with a 22-2 professional record and a reputation as one of the strongest fighters still competing outside the UFC.

Parnasse then introduced himself to a much broader American audience in May, stopping Kenneth Cross in the first round on the Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano Netflix card. He enters his UFC debut at 23-2 and unbeaten across seven professional appearances at lightweight.

Now comes Dan Hooker vs. Salahdine Parnasse.

Hooker is a very different test from the fighters Parnasse has recently been running through. The New Zealander has spent years surviving at the upper end of the UFC lightweight division and has made a career out of refusing easy assignments. His willingness to stay in violent exchanges is almost part of his identity at this point.

The fascinating part is how heavily the market has sided with the newcomer. Parnasse has opened his UFC career as a substantial favorite despite facing an established top-10 opponent. That tells you how highly the Frenchman's skill set is already regarded, but Hooker also represents the deepest test of Parnasse's lightweight run.

Losene Keita gets another chance to show why Europe was so high on him

Losene Keita is not one of our betting picks for UFC Paris, but he may be one of the most interesting fighters on the entire card.

Keita arrived in the UFC with significant expectations after becoming a two-division champion in OKTAGON MMA. His first attempt at an Octagon debut went badly before the fight even happened: Keita missed weight ahead of his planned 2025 Paris matchup with Patricio Pitbull, and the bout was cancelled.

He finally debuted in London in March 2026 and lost a tight split decision to Nathaniel Wood. The defeat dropped him to 16-2, but it wasn't the type of performance that suddenly erased everything Keita had shown on the European circuit. Wood is an experienced, technically sound UFC featherweight, and Keita remained competitive throughout 15 minutes.

Now Losene Keita vs. Muhammad Naimov gives him a chance to register his first UFC victory in the city where his original debut fell apart.

Muhammad Naimov is 13-4 and has built a solid UFC run of his own, so this isn't simply a showcase designed to repair Keita's record. But Keita remains the younger European talent with the explosive striking and championship-level regional résumé that made his UFC signing interesting in the first place.

MMAtown picks for UFC Paris

We're keeping this simple rather than forcing bets onto half the card. Two matchups stand out to us at the opening prices: Michael Page as the safer selection and Axel Sola as the value side.

Odds move throughout fight week, so the prices below refer to the approximate opening numbers we evaluated rather than a guarantee of what will still be available when you bet.

MMAtown safer pick: Michael Page at around 1.50

We like Michael Page against Nursulton Ruziboev.

Ruziboev is dangerous enough that calling any bet on this fight genuinely “safe” would be misleading. He owns huge finishing numbers across a long professional career, including more than 20 submission victories, and he recently submitted Andrey Pulyaev in the first round. If he can force Page into extended clinch or grappling exchanges, or catch him during one of Page's unconventional entries, there is a real path to an upset.

But Page vs. Ruziboev starts standing, and that's where MMAtown sees the matchup favoring MVP.

Page remains extremely difficult to track down cleanly. His distance management, stance switches and awkward rhythm force opponents to chase a target that rarely stays where expected. He's now 4-1 in the UFC across welterweight and middleweight, including victories over Shara Magomedov and Jared Cannonier at 185 pounds.

Our read is that Ruziboev needs to make this considerably uglier than Page does. If MVP keeps the fight at long range and makes Ruziboev follow him around the cage, he should have the cleaner route to winning rounds. At roughly 1.50 opening odds, Page is the MMAtown safer pick.

MMAtown value pick: Axel Sola at around 2.20

The more interesting price is Axel Sola against Fares Ziam.

Ziam deserves to be respected. He has considerably more UFC experience, developed into a legitimate lightweight during his current run, and put together six straight victories before losing to Tom Nolan in June. He's also produced some spectacular moments in the Octagon.

We nevertheless think the gap implied by the opening odds in Ziam vs. Sola was too wide.

Sola's only professional loss came against Mason Jones in an excellent three-round fight in London. Jones won unanimously, but Sola dropped him early and proved he belonged at that level before Jones took over the later stages.

Sola then responded in July by submitting Ismael Bonfim with a first-round D'Arce choke. That matters more to us than simply looking at Sola's UFC record and seeing one loss.

There is also useful context in the opponents both men have faced. Ziam was submitted by Terrance McKinney earlier in his UFC career. That doesn't mean MMA math proves Sola beats Ziam, and it certainly doesn't mean Sola automatically beats everyone who has beaten Ziam. It does, however, reinforce our view that the French underdog has the grappling, physicality and all-around upside to make this much closer than an opening 2.20 price suggested.

Both men are French, so neither gets a unique home-country advantage in Paris. The value case for Sola is about the matchup and price, not the flag beside his name.

Morgan Charriere vs Felipe Lima could be one of the best fights on the card

Morgan Charriere against Felipe Lima is easy to overlook because of everything else happening around it, but the featherweight matchup has considerable upside.

Charriere has become one of the French crowd's favorites, combining aggressive striking with the willingness to stand in exchanges. Lima brings a more compact, pressure-heavy style and enters as the betting favorite.

Charriere vs. Lima has enough quality on both sides that we would rather watch than force a betting pick.

UFC Paris undercard has prospects and familiar names throughout

The depth of this card is unusually European-heavy.

Welterweight Daniil Donchenko meets the resurgent Punahele Soriano in Donchenko vs. Soriano, while Liverpool prospect Kurtis Campbell draws the relentlessly aggressive Trevor Peek.

The prelims bring former light heavyweight contender Ryan Spann into the heavyweight division against unbeaten Mario Pinto. French light heavyweight Oumar Sy gets Modestas Bukauskas, while Nathaniel Wood now faces undefeated promotional newcomer Pavel Andrusca after Mairon Santos withdrew through illness.

There is local talent all the way down the lineup. Michael Aljarouj fights Fabia Sintes, Nora Cornolle meets Klaudia Syguła, and Matthieu Duclos faces Luis Felipe Dias. The opening bout pits Delphine Benouaich against Sofia Montenegro.
