Buchinger’s Rear-Naked Choke Shines Ahead of OKTAGON 73
Ivan Buchinger reminded everyone why he's still a force in OKTAGON with one of the smoothest finishes of the year. In this free fight from OKTAGON 72, he took on a sharper, more aggressive Vladimir Lengál in a scrap that had momentum swings early.
Lengál came in with better takedown defense and a ton of pressure, keeping Buchinger guessing for most of round one. But “Buki” stayed calm, used his experience, and found his opening. Once it hit the mat, it was a wrap — a clean rear-naked choke sealed it in round two.
With OKTAGON 73 coming up in Hamburg — featuring Eckerlin vs Pukač and Zhumagulov vs Adamia — this is a good one to rewatch. Veterans like Buchinger still putting on shows is what makes these cards hit harder.
Hit play, enjoy the finish, and get hyped for June 28th.
