PFL 9 2022 Full Main Card: Kayla Harrison & Dakota Ditcheva in London
On August 20, 2022, Kayla Harrison and Dakota Ditcheva competed on the same PFL card in London, with both women delivering first-round finishes. This full main-card replay of PFL 9: 2022 Playoffs features all six main-card fights from Copper Box Arena, including Harrison's submission of Martina Jindrová, Ditcheva's 58-second stoppage of Hassna Jaber and pivotal playoff victories by Larissa Pacheco, Brendan Loughnane and Bubba Jenkins.
The event brought together established championship contenders and emerging British talent. Harrison was chasing a third consecutive PFL lightweight championship, while Ditcheva was making her promotional debut, years before becoming one of the biggest names in women's MMA.
Kayla Harrison vs. Martina Jindrová: Another first-round submission
The PFL 9 main event featured two-time Olympic judo gold medalist Kayla Harrison against Czech contender Martina Jindrová in the women's lightweight semifinals.
Harrison entered undefeated at 14-0 and had already won the PFL women's lightweight championship in 2019 and 2021. Returning to London, where she captured her first Olympic gold medal in 2012, added another personal connection to the occasion.
Against Jindrová, Harrison immediately established her grappling advantage. She secured a takedown, advanced into a dominant position and finished with an arm-triangle choke at 3:17 of Round 1.
The victory improved Harrison's professional record to 15-0 and sent her into another PFL championship final against Larissa Pacheco, who also competed on the London card.
It would prove to be an important moment in Harrison's career. Three months later, Pacheco defeated her by unanimous decision in the 2022 championship final, handing Harrison her first professional MMA loss.
Dakota Ditcheva's PFL debut: 58 seconds against Hassna Jaber
For Dakota Ditcheva, PFL 9 represented the beginning of a very different journey.
The Manchester flyweight entered with a perfect 5-0 professional record and an accomplished Muay Thai background. Her opponent, Hassna Jaber, arrived at 4-1, with the winner earning a place in the inaugural 2023 PFL Europe season.
Ditcheva wasted little time demonstrating why the promotion had signed her. She opened with a powerful push kick that knocked Jaber down, followed with punches and began attacking the body with knees during the clinch exchanges.
Jaber could not withstand the punishment, and the contest ended after just 58 seconds. The official result was recorded as a first-round stoppage following knees to the body.
Ditcheva improved to 6-0 and secured her position in PFL Europe, where she would become the inaugural women's flyweight champion in 2023.
Her rise continued in 2024, when she stopped Taila Santos to win the global PFL women's flyweight championship. MMAtown's Dakota Ditcheva career highlights trace that development, while The Agony of Victory documentary explores the preparation and sacrifices behind her championship success.
Larissa Pacheco, Brendan Loughnane and Bubba Jenkins advance
While Harrison and Ditcheva provide the central attraction of this replay, three other fights had immediate championship implications.
Brazilian powerhouse Larissa Pacheco faced Olena Kolesnyk in the other women's lightweight semifinal. Pacheco overwhelmed her opponent with punches, securing a TKO at 2:09 of Round 1.
That victory set up her third meeting with Harrison. After losing their first two encounters in 2019, Pacheco finally defeated the American in the November championship final, capturing the $1 million prize and PFL lightweight title.
In the men's featherweight division, Brendan Loughnane faced Chris Wade in a closely watched semifinal. The Manchester fighter controlled much of the action with his jab and striking volume, winning a unanimous decision by identical 30-27 scorecards.
His championship opponent would be Bubba Jenkins, who needed considerably less time against Ryoji Kudo.
Jenkins secured a rear-naked choke at 1:49 of Round 1, earning his place in the featherweight final. That result completed the tournament matchup between Loughnane and Jenkins, with the championship and $1 million awaiting the winner.
Loughnane ultimately defeated Jenkins by fourth-round TKO in November, completing one of the most significant seasons of his career.
Simeon Powell opens the main card with a leg-kick finish
The video begins with British light heavyweight prospect Simeon Powell facing João Paulo Fagundes.
Powell entered the event unbeaten after previously earning a PFL contract through the Challenger Series. Against Fagundes, he attacked the legs repeatedly, damaging his opponent's mobility and making it increasingly difficult for the Brazilian to continue.
The fight ended by TKO from leg kicks at 1:56 of Round 2, extending Powell's undefeated record to 7-0.
His performance set the tone for a main card featuring five finishes across six fights. Loughnane's unanimous decision over Wade was the only bout in the replay that required the judges.

From PFL London to Kayla Harrison vs. Amanda Nunes at UFC 334
Four years after this London event, both Harrison and Ditcheva have reached a different level of recognition, although their careers have followed separate paths.
Harrison eventually left the PFL for the UFC, moving down to the bantamweight division. She captured the UFC women's bantamweight championship in June 2025 by submitting Julianna Peña.
Her next scheduled appearance is against former two-division champion Amanda Nunes at UFC 334 on November 14, 2026, at Madison Square Garden in New York. The Harrison vs. Nunes championship fight marks Nunes' return from retirement and Harrison's first planned defense of the UFC bantamweight title.
Ditcheva, meanwhile, remained with PFL and developed into an unbeaten world champion. Her journey from a promising 5-0 prospect to international championship success makes the 58-second Jaber fight particularly interesting to revisit.
Watching PFL 9 today offers more than a look back at two future stars sharing a fight card. The London event also set up the Harrison-Pacheco upset, Loughnane's featherweight championship victory and Ditcheva's entry into PFL Europe. All six main-card fights provide a snapshot of a promotion whose biggest names were about to take very different career paths.
