Duel Arena 1 Full Event: Mike Perry vs. Brandon Jenkins
Duel Arena 1 ended up looking very different from the event that had been promoted all week. This full-event replay captures the promotion’s August 29 debut at the Kia Center in Orlando, including Brandon Jenkins stepping into the main event on extremely short notice and stopping Mike Perry in the first round.
The card mixed MMA with boxing and kickboxing, but most of the drama surrounded a main event that changed less than two days before fight night. Dillon Danis had originally been booked against Perry before withdrawing during fight week with an arm injury. Brandon Jenkins stops Mike Perry after shoulder injury
Jenkins did considerably more than simply keep the main event alive. After accepting the assignment at the last minute, the UFC and PFL veteran scored one of the biggest wins of his career.
Perry started aggressively, but the fight changed suddenly when his left shoulder appeared to pop out during an exchange. Jenkins recognized immediately that something was wrong. He attacked the body, dropped Perry with a kick and followed him to the canvas with punches until the referee stopped the fight at 2:38 of Round 1.
The official result goes down as a first-round TKO for Jenkins. The circumstances make it an unusual finish, but there was nothing accidental about the way Jenkins reacted once Perry became compromised. Taking a replacement main event with virtually no preparation was already a significant gamble; leaving Orlando with a stoppage victory over Perry made it worthwhile.

Duel Arena produced a completely different kind of night. Perry went from preparing for Danis’ submission grappling to facing Jenkins with almost no adjustment period, then suffered a freak shoulder injury midway through the opening round. Medical personnel attended to him in the ring after the stoppage.
Blake Anthony stays unbeaten against Nate Morrow
The main event was not the only MMA worth watching on the full broadcast. Unbeaten featherweight Blake Anthony faced Nate Morrow in the longest MMA bout of the night.
Anthony could not produce the finish, but he did enough across all three rounds to take a unanimous decision. The judges scored it 30-27, 30-27 and 29-28, keeping Anthony’s perfect professional record intact against a more experienced opponent.
For anyone who originally found Duel Arena 1 through the Perry-Danis promotion, Anthony vs. Morrow is one of the fights worth going back for in the full-event upload. It offered a more conventional three-round MMA contest amid a show deliberately designed to jump between different combat-sports rulesets.
Alex Nicholson finishes Brad Taylor in Round 1
Former UFC fighter Alex Nicholson needed considerably less time against Brad Taylor. Nicholson stopped Taylor with punches at 2:47 of the opening round, giving the MMA portion of the main card its first finish.
The heavyweight matchup had been one of the more straightforward MMA attractions on the original card and delivered exactly that kind of result: no crossover rules or novelty format, just an early heavyweight stoppage.
AJ Cunningham lands a spinning-back-elbow knockout
The most spectacular MMA finish outside the main event came earlier in the show. AJ Cunningham knocked out Joe Penafiel with a spinning back elbow at 4:04 of Round 1.
It was a clean highlight-reel finish and an easy moment to miss for anyone who joined the broadcast later for the bigger names. On a full-event replay, Cunningham’s knockout is one of the clearest reasons to start from the preliminary portion rather than skipping directly to Perry and Jenkins.
Duel Arena’s first show crossed MMA, boxing and kickboxing
The rest of the event established exactly what Duel Arena wants its identity to be. The promotion did not run a conventional MMA card. Jimi Manuwa stopped Chase Sherman in the second round of their heavyweight boxing match, Paul Miller defeated Ben Azoulay by split decision in kickboxing, and Phil Rowe went the distance with Javanis Ross in boxing.
Ryan Pownall’s boxing match with Patrick Clark Jr. ended by disqualification, while Jack Grady scored a first-round stoppage over Wade Stokan. The constant change of ruleset made the show feel closer to a combat-sports showcase than a traditional MMA event.

Jenkins was called in at the last minute. Perry still agreed to fight. Then the replacement opponent walked out of Orlando with the biggest result of the night.
The MMA results underneath it were strong enough to give the debut some substance of its own. Anthony stayed unbeaten with a decision over Morrow, Nicholson stopped Taylor in the first round, and Cunningham produced the card’s best spinning-elbow finish against Penafiel.
