Nikki Carpiniello, the mother of Dillon Danis, unexpectedly became part of Duel Arena 1 after her son withdrew from the Mike Perry main event. The new promotion brought Carpiniello in as a ring girl, turning a late fight-week problem into one of the strangest promotional stunts surrounding the event.

Duel Arena 1 ended with a major upset as Brandon Jenkins stopped an injured Mike Perry in the first round. Duel Arena also delivered Jimi Manuwa’s comeback TKO, AJ Cunningham’s spinning-elbow knockout and one of the strangest combat sports cards of 2026.

Dillon Danis is out of Duel Arena 1 just days before facing Mike Perry. Duel Arena moved quickly, bringing in Brandon Jenkins for a short-notice MMA main event after Danis revealed a serious arm laceration that required stitches.
