Adam Borics got back in the win column at PFL Nashville, earning a gritty unanimous decision over Jeremy Kennedy in a high-stakes alternate bout. While it won’t send him directly into the finals, the Hungarian featherweight made it clear — he’s not going anywhere.
“It wasn’t the kind of fight I hoped for,” Borics admitted afterward. “It’s tough when someone’s just trying to stall and hold position. But a win’s a win.”
He nearly ended things in Round 1, dropping Kennedy with a clean shot and jumping on a submission attempt that had the crowd holding its breath. “I could hear him breathing hard,” Borics said. “But I squeezed too much, burned out my arms a bit, and had to reset in the second.”
The second round leaned Kennedy’s way with top control, but Borics bounced back strong in the third — stuffing takedowns, landing clean kicks, and pushing the pace. When the cards came in 29-28 across the board, he didn’t seem surprised.
Now 20-3, Borics is keeping his options open. “Cutting to 145 is getting harder every time,” he said. “If they don’t need me for the finals, I’d love to try lightweight later this year. I think I can be just as dangerous at 155.”
Whether it’s at featherweight or up a division, Borics stays on standby as the PFL World Tournament rolls forward — a proven finisher with his eyes on more than just backup duty.
