Noche UFC 3 Relocated to San Antonio, Shifts from PPV to Fight Night

It’s official — the third annual Noche UFC just got a major shakeup. Originally set as a pay-per-view event in Guadalajara, Mexico, it’s now been rebranded as a Fight Night and moved to the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas. The new date? Friday, September 13 — dropping it from the UFC 320 lineup and out of the PPV spotlight.

The change was announced during the UFC Vegas 107 broadcast. Reports say structural delays at Arena Guadalajara caused a domino effect, canceling all events there through early September and leaving the UFC little choice but to pivot.

There was buzz about moving it back to Las Vegas, especially with Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford rumored for the same weekend. But instead of sharing the Vegas spotlight, the UFC chose to keep the show on the road — landing on Texas as the backup plan.

Noche UFC first launched in 2023 as a themed Fight Night celebrating Mexican Independence Day. The debut delivered big, with a wild flyweight title fight between Alexa Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko that ended in a rare split draw. Their 2024 rematch at UFC 306 saw Shevchenko reclaim the belt in another five-round war.

That same card also shook up the bantamweight scene, with Merab Dvalishvili grinding out a gritty win over Sean O'Malley to grab the title. With that division heating up, it’ll be interesting to see how the scheduling switch impacts potential matchups going forward.

UFC 320’s fate is still unclear, but Noche UFC has clearly become more than just a themed card — it’s turning into a September staple. And with San Antonio now hosting, expect the focus to stay right where the UFC wants it: on Latin American talent and big fight moments.
