The 2025 European season for PFL ended with a statement night in France, as PFL Europe 4: 2025 Finals took over LDLC Arena in Lyon. Two world titles, two European tournament belts and a stack of violent finishes turned “PFL Lyon” into one of the promotion’s most complete cards of the year.
Vadim Nemkov taps Renan Ferreira to become PFL heavyweight champion
The main event between Vadim Nemkov and Renan Ferreira always looked like a classic “skill vs. size” clash. Ferreira came in as the towering knockout threat, but the former Bellator king leaned on experience and control. In their heavyweight title bout, Nemkov vs. Ferreira ended with Nemkov tightening a slick arm-triangle choke in the first round to become the new PFL heavyweight world champion.

For a man who built his name at light heavyweight, Nemkov looked perfectly comfortable bullying a much bigger opponent on the mat. It was a clean way to introduce himself as the new face of PFL’s heavyweight division and a strong hook for future cross-over talk.
Cris Cyborg stays champion with dominant submission win
In the co-main event, Cris Cyborg reminded everyone why her name still carries so much weight in women’s MMA. The legendary Brazilian defended her belt in Cyborg vs. Collins, tapping Sara Collins with a rear-naked choke in the third round after slowly turning up the pressure.

Collins had moments early, but once Cyborg found her timing, the veteran’s experience and composure took over. For a fighter rumored to be nearing the end of her career, this was anything but a farewell performance – more like a reminder that she can still dominate on a big European stage.
European tournament chaos: knockouts, chokes and another star welterweight
The welterweight showcase delivered exactly what the Lyon crowd wanted. In a wild fight that matched the pre-fight hype, Habirora vs. Jousset ended with another emphatic first-round finish for the Belgian striker, continuing his run as one of the most dangerous prospects on the PFL Europe roster.

Bantamweight action saw Adiguzel vs. Garnett end in under a minute, with Baris Adiguzel blitzing his way to the PFL Europe bantamweight tournament crown. At lightweight, Chizov vs. Hughes produced another tournament winner as Aleksandr Chizov stopped Connor Hughes with a third-round knockout to secure the European lightweight title.
The rest of the card kept the finish rate high. In bantamweight action, Lapilus vs. Gittins went the distance, with Taylor Lapilus’ experience and composure earning him a clear decision on the scorecards. Heavy hitters were on display when Mbarga Atangana vs. Soares ended via rear-naked choke, underscoring how dangerous Boris Mbarga Atangana is once the fight hits the mat.
Undercard delivers for PFL Lyon crowd
Deeper on the lineup, Oliveira vs. Ibragimov added another clean knockout to the highlight reel, while de Sousa vs. Wiśniewska was a closely contested split decision that showed both women belong on this European stage. The opener, Balbali vs. Batchelor, set the tone with a hard-fought split decision that got the Lyon crowd warmed up early.
By the time the lights went down, PFL Europe 4: 2025 Finals had crowned a new heavyweight world champion, kept a legend in Cyborg on top, and further stocked the pipeline of European contenders who could soon be knocking on the door of the global PFL season.
