Phil De Fries just keeps on rolling. At KSW 107, the heavyweight champ steamrolled previously unbeaten Arkadiusz Wrzosek with a ruthless first-round submission — and made it look easy.
Wrzosek came in with hype and heavy hands, but De Fries wasn’t interested in standing around. After a brief exchange, the champ dragged it to the mat and went to work. Methodical, heavy, and calm — De Fries moved to side control, set the trap, and cranked an Americana that forced the tap at 3:33 of Round 1.
That’s twelve title defenses now. Twelve. With a spotless 13-0 record in KSW and a new notch on his belt, De Fries just keeps adding layers to his legacy. Forget “best heavyweight in KSW history” — at this point, he’s in the conversation for best fighter the promotion’s ever seen.
The win bumps his overall record to 26-6 (1 NC) and reminds everyone that outside the UFC, there might not be a more dominant big man in the game.
As for Wrzosek, this was a rude awakening. The Polish striker’s power never got a chance to shine — grappling was the story, and De Fries wrote every chapter. The crowd in ERGO Arena was stunned, but the champ barely broke a sweat.
Official Result: Phil De Fries def. Arkadiusz Wrzosek via submission (Americana) at 3:33 of Round 1 — retains the KSW Heavyweight Championship.
