Split Decision Drama: Shaj Haque Retains Title in Wild Battle with Jawany Scott at Cage Warriors 192

Shaj Haque retained his flyweight title in a nail-biter at Cage Warriors 192, edging out a relentless Jawany Scott by split decision after five wild rounds in London. The main event was packed with pace, pressure, and near-finishes — a true showcase of what European flyweight MMA has to offer.

Making his return after a two-year layoff, Haque started strong. He picked his shots early and stayed ahead in the first two rounds. But Scott, representing Great Britain Top Team, flipped the momentum in the third. His pressure and clinch game began to wear down the champion, who looked drained heading into the final frame.

Scott surged in Round 5, walking Haque down, landing clean combinations, and threatening a late submission. But the champ held firm, surviving the storm. Judges scored it 48-47, 46-49, and 48-47 in Haque’s favor — a razor-thin verdict that could’ve gone either way.

In the co-main event, Shirzad Qadrian made quick work of Cameron Else, earning a TKO stoppage in Round 1 to continue his rise at bantamweight. Also on the main card, Leon Hill stopped Steven Hill with second-round strikes, while Anthony Orozco dominated Luan Duarte across three rounds. Weslley Maia also impressed with a quick submission over Aidan Stephen.

Tariq Pell opened the night with a bang, choking out Adam Shelley in the first round via rear-naked choke.

The prelims were just as brutal. Jack Humphries stunned fans with a submission win after a head-kick knockdown of Rory Evans. Naglis Kaniskauskas battered Joe Middleton for a second-round TKO, and Rafael Aronov handed Brad Wheeler yet another setback. Mitchell Goode also scored a slick submission win over Tye Palmer, while Tom Creasey kicked things off with a 1:29 TKO of Raz Bring.

In the featured prelim, Ollie Sarwa edged a gritty split decision against Damiano Scogna.

Cage Warriors continues to deliver the goods. With CW 192, they once again proved why they’re still Europe’s most reliable proving ground for future stars.
