UFC at the White House? Dana White Reveals Plans, Talks Jon Jones, McGregor & 2026 Supercard

The UFC has always thrived on spectacle, but what’s coming in 2026 might be the boldest chapter yet. According to Dana White, the promotion is actively working with the U.S. government to host a full-scale UFC event on the White House lawn — part of the celebrations for America’s 250th anniversary.

With the South Lawn set as the venue and the Washington Monument looming in the background, the 2026 card could become one of the most iconic visuals in sports history. White revealed during the UFC Nashville post-fight press conference that his UFC operations team has already visited the White House grounds to evaluate logistics. From securing permits to weatherproofing the Octagon, it’s a monumental effort — but one the UFC is fully committed to making happen.

“It’ll be a pay-per-view,” White confirmed, emphasizing that fans across the globe will be able to witness this milestone. As for the physical setup, UFC’s production crew is brainstorming how to construct an arena-like experience that respects both the historic setting and high-level security protocols. Seating, lighting, cameras, and sound — everything has to be adapted to one of the most symbolic and secure venues in America.

Of course, the biggest question is: who headlines? Two names keep surfacing — Jon Jones and Conor McGregor. Both megastars have expressed strong interest in being part of this once-in-a-lifetime card. Jones, despite his brief retirement, is back in the USADA pool and sees the White House event as a patriotic opportunity. McGregor, never one to shy from the spotlight, has already been pitching himself to White for the historic UFC 2026 lineup.

Still, White remains cautious. “We’re a long way from locking it in,” he said, noting that the UFC landscape can change dramatically in just a few months. Injuries, retirements, and rankings will all play a role in shaping the final card. But one thing is certain — the 2026 UFC White House event is shaping up to be the most ambitious project in combat sports history and a milestone moment in UFC history.

Whether it’s Jones, McGregor, or a new wave of champions, all eyes will be on the South Lawn next summer for what may be the most surreal UFC pay-per-view yet.
