Damian Rzepecki Highlights | From FEN Champion to UFC Debut
Damian Rzepecki’s unbeaten rise from FEN MMA to the UFC
Damian Rzepecki is officially heading to the UFC after building one of the strongest unbeaten records on the Polish MMA scene. The former FEN lightweight champion reaches the Octagon at 10-0, with nine of those victories coming by knockout, TKO or submission.
This collection follows Rzepecki’s rise from his early professional fights through his championship run in FEN MMA, his move into Spain’s rapidly growing WOW MMA promotion and the announcement of his first UFC matchup.
Rzepecki is still only 24, but his record already contains far more than carefully selected prospect fights. He has beaten experienced opponents, won a five-round championship, defended the belt with a body-shot finish and proved he could maintain his pace across three rounds when the stoppage did not arrive.
A finishing style built around more than raw power
Rzepecki’s record immediately stands out because of the finishing rate. His first nine professional wins included five submissions and four knockouts or TKOs, showing a much wider attacking game than the usual young lightweight prospect.
Early in his career, the rear-naked choke became one of his most reliable weapons. He could pressure opponents into rushed takedowns or poor scrambles, then move quickly toward the back. He also produced a Japanese necktie submission, demonstrating that his grappling was not limited to basic control and familiar finishing positions.
As his competition improved, the striking became more important. Rzepecki began showing greater patience in the pocket, sharper combinations and a willingness to attack the body instead of hunting exclusively for a dramatic head shot. Those improvements became clear during the two biggest fights of his FEN career.
Rzepecki wins the FEN lightweight title at FEN 57
Rzepecki received his first championship opportunity against Marcin Jabłoński at FEN 57 in Piotrków Trybunalski.
Jabłoński entered with more professional experience and forced the young contender into a competitive main event rather than giving him an easy route to the belt. Rzepecki had to remain composed through difficult exchanges, manage the championship pressure and wait for the opening instead of trying to force an early finish.
That opening finally came late in the third round. Rzepecki landed the decisive punch and knocked Jabłoński out, moving to 8-0 and becoming the FEN lightweight champion in front of his home crowd.
The victory changed his position in Polish MMA immediately. He was no longer simply an undefeated prospect with an exciting highlight reel. He had beaten a credible opponent in a title fight and shown that his finishing ability remained dangerous deep into the contest.
A brutal body shot settles the Patryk Duński title defence
Rzepecki returned at FEN 59 to defend the lightweight championship against Patryk Duński, a veteran with considerably more professional experience.
The champion again refused to fight like a young athlete desperate to create a viral moment. He controlled the exchanges, worked behind his combinations and slowly opened Duński’s defence. In the second round, Rzepecki drove a punch into the body and ended the fight.
Body-shot knockouts often look sudden, but the finish was the result of the pressure and variety that came before it. Duński had to react to attacks upstairs, takedown possibilities and Rzepecki’s forward movement. Once the opening appeared below the elbows, the champion took it immediately.
The win moved Rzepecki to 9-0 and gave him a successful FEN lightweight title defence. The wider event can be revisited through the FEN 59 highlights, which featured three new or defending champions.
WOW 29 showed Rzepecki could win without a finish
After establishing himself in Poland, Rzepecki took his next fight in Spain with WOW MMA. He faced experienced Romanian lightweight Corneliu Rotaru Lascar at WOW 29 in Valencia.
Lascar became the first professional opponent to reach the final bell against him. That did not make the performance a setback. Rzepecki won all three rounds on the judges’ scorecards, moved to 10-0 and answered a useful question before joining the UFC.
Until then, nearly every fight had ended through his ability to create a sudden finish. At WOW 29, he had to stay organised for 15 minutes against a durable veteran who would not disappear after the first clean combination or submission attempt.
The unanimous decision added something his record had previously lacked. Rzepecki showed that he could manage a complete fight without becoming impatient when his usual finishing opportunities were unavailable.
Damian Rzepecki vs Magomed Zaynukov is a serious UFC debut
Rzepecki will make his promotional debut at UFC Fight Night: Ankalaev vs Rountree on July 25 in Abu Dhabi. His first opponent will be unbeaten Russian lightweight Magomed Zaynukov.
Damian Rzepecki vs Magomed Zaynukov is not an introductory matchup designed to protect either newcomer. Rzepecki brings a 10-0 record and a championship background from FEN. Zaynukov enters at 8-0 after earning his contract through Dana White’s Contender Series.
Zaynukov has a high-level Muay Thai background and carries serious power, but he has also spent years training inside the Dagestani system alongside elite wrestlers. That makes him more complicated than a pure striker who can simply be taken down and controlled.
Rzepecki may have the more varied professional finishing record. Zaynukov brings experience from one of the strongest training environments in MMA. Both men are accustomed to entering the cage without a loss beside their name, and only one can leave Abu Dhabi that way.
The FEN highlight reel ends where the UFC story begins
Rzepecki reached the UFC without needing a Contender Series appearance of his own. His work in FEN MMA and WOW was enough to earn a direct contract, which says plenty about how his performances were viewed outside Poland.
The knockouts and submissions explain the excitement, but his last three fights explain why he is ready for this step. He won a championship in a competitive main event, defended it with a perfectly placed body shot and then completed three controlled rounds against a durable veteran in Spain.
Those FEN and WOW highlights are now the first chapter of a larger story. On July 25, Rzepecki enters the UFC against another unbeaten fighter with no easy rounds waiting for him.
