Meng Bo Among Four Fighters Quietly Released by ONE Championship

ONE Championship has made a surprising roster shake-up, quietly releasing four fighters from its MMA lineup — including former atomweight contender Meng Bo.

The 29-year-old Chinese striker once had title hopes in ONE, bolstered by an early-career win over current UFC champion Weili Zhang. During her run in the promotion, Meng went 6-4, picking up key victories such as her 2025 decision win over Chihiro Sawada in January. But inconsistency, weight-cut struggles, and pivotal losses — to Ritu Phogat, Tiffany Teo, and Ayaka Miura — slowed her momentum. A recent loss to Xiong Jingnan marked the final bout of her ONE tenure.

Also released is Mongolian striker Shinechagtga Zoltsetseg, who built a reputation for knockout power but struggled with consistency. After a 5-4 run, he was submitted by Jhanlo Mark Sangiao in what turned out to be his final fight with the promotion.

Chinese flyweight veteran Wei Xie also exits after a rough skid. He dropped back-to-back losses to Reece McLaren, Yuya Wakamatsu, and Tatsumitsu Wada, slipping down the flyweight rankings in the process.

Finally, Italian prospect Antonio Mammarella departs the organization with an 0-2 record. He was submitted by Adrian Lee — the younger brother of Christian and Angela Lee — before dropping a decision to Oliver Axelsson in March.

While ONE Championship has not released an official statement, the release of recognizable names like Meng Bo suggests a potential retooling of its MMA roster as 2025 heads into its final stretch.
